Decision criteria for prom dresses

If you already have clear ideas about your dream dress, it makes the search easier in the beginning, but there are some critical criteria that make it difficult for you to find the ball gown.

Selection of prom dresses

First of all we want to present a small selection of popular evening dresses, so that you can form a small opinion in advance. These are both cocktail dresses and long dresses. Both the dresses in the collage above, as well as the following featured evening dresses are available online.

Significant for the cut of the dress is of course the length. However, the cut also includes various other properties. This not only includes the way the dress is held / fastened to the woman’s body, but also which body parts are more or less covered with it. Also, the way the skirt harmonizes with the rest of the piece is a special cutting feature.

With Straps / Strapless:A form that provides support of the ball gown on the body of the wearer is wearer. These are fabric slings that hold the shoulder blades. A special form of straps are so-called halternecks. The fabric is attached around the neck. The designers of dresses can also come up with sophisticated variants in which there is only one wearer or even none. With such strapless dresses, the support mostly comes from the chest area.

Backless:Sophistication of many dresses is the back cut. Here, the dress is designed so that the back is not in places of fabric or even naked. Quite appropriate to the theme is the well-known German beauty wisdom: “Even a beautiful back can delight” – especially on the prom.

corsage:The ball gown may have a corsage as a basic element. This is the top of a cocktail dress, from which starting a skirt goes off or begins. Corsets are known to be very tight fitting.

Sleeve:Some dresses have sleeves instead of straps. They are similar to those of other garments such as T-shirts for women. Dresses with sleeves cover the shoulders and usually provide a closed neckline of the chest area.

Asymmetric structure:Extravagant dresses are often not quite as symmetrical. That is, they e.g. have only a single carrier or have a lateral unilateral fabric cutout.

Sweetheart:Some cocktail dresses have a sweetheart neckline. This is found in the chest area, where the two breasts and the two heart cheeks form. The middle between the breasts is the vertical symmetry axis of the dress.

Tight or casual:Dresses can be very figure-hugging, but also very casual. If a dress is tight, then from the outside every feminine curve is clearly recognizable, while with the casual, less physical version, the love handles can hide well.

Embellishments with sequins:To sweeten the dress with details sequin embellishments are high in the program. Thus, it sparkles dress on the dance floor and brings even more glamor

Finding the right size

If you have found a clothes model that pleases a bit, then the search for the right size starts. For a dress to be suitable, women first have to exercise their patience. So the perfect size has a good fit. The dress is in fact at all points where it should rest. The question is whether the dress should be body-contoured and emphasize breasts or buttocks. Instead of exposing the problem areas of the female body, they should be well concealed with the right ideal case. All women, regardless of size 32, 36, 40, 44 or 46, are aware of these issues. It is especially difficult for women who need large sizes if not large sizes (plus size). Many stores where you can buy prom dresses do not carry XXL and Co, so chubby, fat and overweight women often feel discriminated against. However, regardless of size, every woman has the right to look beautiful and feel sexy, elegant and just comfortable.

The choice of the color of the ball gown

The color of the dress is sometimes a prominent feature for the outside observer. It is the first adjective with which a dress is described. This shows that the color choice should be well considered and the future wearer should identify with it. So the color of the ball gown of his wearer should like, at the same time stand her and look favorably at her. Ideally, the dress harmonizes with the eye color, the complexion of the skin and the hair color (and later with the makeup).
